Nicolas Richard is a member of the Foreign Investors Council Board of Directors, and he is part of the leadership team for the energy transition task force. Nicolas started his career within the ENGIE Group in 2000, consequently acquiring an extensive experience across the Group’s main activities (Distribution Network, Supply, Energy Management, Energy Solutions), with focus in customer management entities, for household and business customers. In 2003, he joined the Gaz de France International Division (former mother company of ENGIE) and was successfully involved in the tendering process of Distrigaz Sud (today ENGIE Romania).
He continued his career as coordinator of gas sales to giant key accounts in several countries of the Group, such as Italy, Hungary, and Austria. Subsequently, he completed his professional experience by being responsible of local portfolio management and of developing energy management activities in Romania. He returned to France to lead a services subsidiary of the Group, focused on continuing to green production mixity of its district heating subsidiaries and energy performance contracts for business customers. He returned to Romania at the end of 2016, to coordinate the Marketing and Sales supply activities, and from 2021, he became the Deputy General Manager of ENGIE Romania, and a year later the CEO of ENGIE Romania.
